Mr. Pandit, who owns a piece of land at Golawali in South Kokan (One of the Biogeographic zones Maharashtra, India, along the coast of Arabian Sea) have given the assignment of assessing existing conditions of Ecology on their land and surrounding area to oikos. The task is to survey status of resources & processes and to know effects of changing lifestyles on Natural world. This part of Kokan is very rich in resources and natural beauty. But today the pressures of development & human activities have started increasing, thus depleting the biodiversity & resources. What is the status of these components and what would be the ideal management plan on smaller to larger scale, are the main factors considered during this study.
