Villages in drier parts of Maharashtra are always facing resource crunch. For a sustainable future, Watershed development work is undertaken by BAIF in these areas. We helped Ecological Society (NGO working towards restoration and education), in 2006-07, for integrating eco-principles in such watershed development. Activities like stream bunding, microbial reserve, fish ladders were planned & implemented in 2 watersheds near Pathardi, Maharashtra spread over area of 7500 after conducting detailed 3 season survey for Biodiversity.
