At oikos, we are convinced that if any change needs to be brought about, we need to work at the grass root level. Education and awareness being the key to bring in the right approach in our future generations at the ‘right time’; we have been conducting Eco-awareness courses to reach out to masses. Activities range from flora and fauna identification to understanding natural resources, our energy consumption pattern and some restoration activities. We hope that our workshops will help to build a foundation for conservation where nature is (still) abundant but the lack of know how can result in destructive activities. Our motivation remains the fact that we are probably addressing future leaders when we work with these kids and it is our responsibility that they are fed the right information with the right approach to be rational individuals and responsible citizens.
