Ecological assessment is a screening tool to know the present situation and potential of the land. Detailed analysis of soil, water, flora & fauna and natural processes helps in identifying the appropriate land use of the area, be it organic farming, medicinal plantation, butterfly park or natural ecosystems such as forest. Also, it provides baseline data that helps in evaluating the site and forecasting the impacts. Along with the assessment, we provide long term monitoring to assess biodiversity and ecological processes for the restoration projects.
Ideally this should be carried out at the early stage of project planning to avoid over-working and minimize the costs of mitigation measures.
